Our New Earth Innovations Lymph Detox essential oil blend may aid in the movement and detoxification of fluid in the lymphatic system. Swollen Lymph glands and nodes? Retaining water? Need to detoxify fat cells? Sat on that plane or at that desk for way too long? Recovered from a cold, flu, infection or virus and your lymph nodes haven't gotten the memo? This combination of essential oils may just be the help you need!
How to Use: Gently massage on lymph glands and nodes (in the armpits, neck, groin, abdomen, breasts, or under the collar bone). Massage on the lymphatic system with a dry brush/massager or use a couple of drops in a bath with Epsom salts.
How it works:
Laurel leaf essential oil may help with lymphatic drainage, swollen lymph nodes, congested lymph systems and circulation. It can also help with systemic infections which cause swelling in the lymphatic system such as viral or bacterial infections.
Grapefruit essential oil may help stimulate the lymphatic system and aid in the elimination of toxins from the body. It also contains properties which can support general detoxification, fluid retention, edema and the appearance of cellulite.
Juniper Berry essential oil is rich in terpenes α-pinene and β-myrcene. These are this oil's powerhouses which give it the ability to support healthy lymphatic drainage, detoxification while supporting kidney and urinary systems. Juniper Berry is known for helping the body to reduce bloating, remove toxins, stimulate circulation and the lymphatic system naturally.
Cypress essential oil stimulates healthy circulation, aids in detoxification, and promotes lymphatic drainage. Cypress is also known for toning and tightening the skin, as well as helping reduce the appearance of spider and varicose veins which is why you will see this essential oil in some of our other blends!
Lemon essential oil, just like the juice from the fruit, acts as a natural diuretic, aids in detoxifying fatty tissues, has anti-viral properties, anti-fungal properties, and anti-bacterial properties. Lemon is also known as a natural anti-inflammatory.
Lemongrass essential oil helps to stimulate lymphatic capillaries and vessels in order to drain away fluids from the skin, bringing them into the lymphatic system and with the help of some of the other essential oils in this blend moves this excess fluid on out of the body. This process is helpful in reducing edema and water retention. The terpenes and monoterpenes in this essential oil are also known to have antioxidant, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Some medical studies have also shown these terpenes may have the ability to prevent the growth of some bacteria and yeast.
Rosemary essential oil has so many benefits, but in this case, we chose it for this blend because of its ability to aid the lymphatic system in removing accumulated toxins, diuretic properties, reduce inflammation and stimulate lymph glands and nodes which aids flow of lymph fluids. It acts like a decongestant for your lymph glands and nodes, helping clear away toxins and waste that clog up the lymph system.
Hemp Seed essential oil has been used as our carrier oil in this blend. It is known to have a comedogenic rating of near zero. Most all our essential oils are undiluted and may cause irritation on the skin without dilution, so we took the guess work out for you! Hemp Seed, itself however, is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) which also has anti-inflammatory effects.
Ingredients: Hemp Seed Oil, Laurel Leaf, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Cypress, Lemongrass, Rosemary and Lemon Essential Oils. This formula has been diluted for use on the skin. Gently massage on the lymph nodes to soothe swollen, stagnant or sluggish lymphatic system.
It's important to note that while Lymph Detox Essential Oil Blend offers many potential benefits, individual responses may vary. Note: Citrus Oils, such as lemon and grapefruit can be phototoxic, which means they may cause sunburns or dark spots with extensive sun exposure. Sun exposure should be avoided on areas applied for 12 hours, or wash off before going into the sun. Although we dilute with a carrier oil, patch test on the skin prior to use. If sensitivity occurs dilute further with a carrier oil or discontinue use. Consult with a healthcare professional or aromatherapist if you have specific health concerns before using it for therapeutic purposes, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
