From Peace to Peace
From Peace to Peace
From Peace to Peace: Preparing for the Doorway While You Are Still Living is a hospice-informed guide to spiritual preparation for death that begins in the middle of life, not at its end.
Built on the author's bedside research with hospice patients and her completed thesis, the book treats death as a developmental milestone rather than a cliff edge, and shows that the peace you want at the doorway is won in the years leading up to it.
The book opens on the reality the bedside teaches: most people arrive at death unprepared, still carrying regret, guilt, and shame that time no longer gives them room to resolve.
It then maps two paths of preparation. Door One is the urgent highway for the person just told they are dying, who must make peace quickly before time runs out. Door Two is the slower road for the person with years ahead, who feels they are dying inside, busy and unfulfilled, and can make changes over time.
Across the chapters, the reader locates where they are stuck using Maslow's hierarchy of unmet needs, resolves the weight of old grievance through a three-step bedside protocol, and climbs the author's five stages of faith, from Seeker to the Unconditionally Faithful, where surrender opens into heaven on Earth.
Practical protocols carry both doors, and the book's promise holds throughout: love never dies, even when a loved one passes to the next place, and the reader can cross the next doorway from peace to peace, not from fear to peace.
The book is built so every reader, no matter how early or late they arrive, is met where they stand and shown a first move toward release today.
