2. The Basics of Essential Oils

Not all essential oils are created equal. At New Earth Innovations, we work with 100% pure, undiluted, and organically sourced oils, unlike many mass-market or MLM products that are often diluted.

Essential Oils are highly aromatic, volatile plant extracts obtained primarily through steam distillation, or cold pressing in the case of citrus fruits. Although called “oils,” they are not fats, but tiny aromatic molecules found in different parts of plants such as leaves, flowers, bark, roots, resins, or peels. Their potency means quality, sourcing, and proper dilution are essential for safe and effective use.

Because pure essential oils are highly concentrated, proper dilution is always recommended before skin application. Using oils undiluted can cause irritation or sensitization. Dilution not only improves safety, but often enhances effectiveness. 

For children, pregnant individuals, elders, or those with sensitivities, we recommend consulting a qualified aromatherapist or healthcare professional before use and always performing a patch test.
